I've heard different things about where the pump and injectors max out, so that is interesting.

Most chicks don't like getting kicked in the face...or getting poked in the ass for that matter. Seems like a fair trade though. Wink

I took a quick survey from a few people.
Chad@CBRD said around 350 on his mustang dyno.
diiirk@AWDMotorsports said around 385-390 on his dynojet
shane said he'd guess around 340, but brought up the fact that no one really knows how big the stock injectors are, since they're scaled to 530 in the stock ecu, pretty close to the evo8/9's stock 560's (scaled stock @513 IIRC).

So, I went ahead and thought I'd try find the limit, found it, happy, could probably run like this for a while, nbd.

If you felt really ambitious about finding out what the stock injectors flow, when you install the 800's you could always bring them to Ravenworks in Maple Grove and have them flow tested. Not sure how much they charge for just a flow test though. It may be helpful to the X community.

I'd previously read that they were 560. AMS did flow tests on the X's pump and injectors when it first came out and I think they stated as much.

I got the stock injectors out and the part number on the side of them suggests that they are in fact 600's, which actually seems about right. 600/560=1.07. IX 560s could support about 315whp when really maxed out, add 7% and you get about 340, right where we're at.

DW800's are in, I'm playing around with a few sets of latencies published on the internet to see what's best to start from. Even just bumping the scaling and not touching the latencies the starts and drives pretty damn good!

Is it okay to thread jack and stay OT...HELL Yeah Laughing

Dude, don't you know that OT is all this forum supports? If you keep a thread on-topic it actually makes the server run slower!

I haven't checked with shane yet to see his schedule; I'm prepared to dial in the injectors and do some basic tuning on my own and then setup a time whenever he's available to get up there and do a power tune on it. It takes time, but after a few hours I've already got it running and driving pretty decent, a/c and all!

Do it Wednesday morning, then we can get lunch and go back for my tune Wink

If you have access to a Tactrix cable then he could probably do it via email. I think there are warm start tables that are separate.
